LAGOS STATE WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT DECENTRALIZED OPERATION

Lagos State Wastewater Management Office in line with the administration THEME agenda of making government services accessible to public as well as improve the agency service delivery has decentralized its operation by creating 12-zonal offices spread across the 3- senatorial district of the state.
General Manager, Engr. Adebola Matanmi, while addressing the zonal heads, the coordinators and other senior management staff of the agency, charges the zonal heads to be professional and be good ambassadors of the administration while discharging their responsibilities.
He uses the opportunity to seek the cooperation of members of the public with the agency in carrying out its mandate of ensuring proper wastewater disposal culture to ensure public health is guaranteed.
He went further to call on all owners of organizations, Commercial Premises/Buildings, Estates, Eateries and others that falls within the operation of the agency to ensure that their wastewater treatment system is functioning at optimal so as not to fall foul of the laws on wastewater management in the state.
He equally enjoined upcoming structures owners to ensure that such structures secure Wastewater Permit before proceeding with the construction. He stated further that the state will not compromise public health, thus the need by the members of the public to show responsibility by adhering to the agency laws as it affected proper management and disposal of wastewater and other laws of the state.
He went further to intimate the general public that the agency office is open to public for enquiry, clarification and complain where necessary within the mandate of the agency
