Lagos State Wastewater Management Office in furtherance of executing her mandate with the recent decentralization of the agency activities sealed up a property at N0. 4, Agbi Close, off Ololade Street, Agodo-Egbe, Lagos.
The property was sealed due to the collapsed of the wastewater system thus causing environmental nuisance and hazard in the neighborhood by discharging it wastewater into the public drain. The property before the sealing was served several notices but failed to respond to the notices thus the need to seal up the premises as a last option to force compliance and protect others in the neighborhood.
The agency hereby appeal to members of the public to desist from such act and further reemphasized that the agency is reenergized to reach all nooks and cranny of the state with the decentralization of it operation to ensure full compliance on proper disposal of wastewater in the state.
The agency wishes to use this medium to appreciate the support of the Lagosian to the agency with information as regard its mandate and equally appeal for more support from members the public with more information for the agency to achieve the THEME agenda of the administration toward the megacity project of the state.
