However, 10 days after he died, a video has emerged showing the moment Buruji Kashamu begged for forgiveness before he died of COVID-19.

Before Kashamu died, the video showed that had called Adebutu from his sickbed to seek for forgiveness over the differences they had from a business deal that went wrong.
In the video, Kashamu, a former PDP chieftain in Ogun state, spoke in Yoruba, pleading with the businessman to forgive him for any wrongdoing.
On his part, Adebutu popularly known as Baba Ijebu accepted his forgiveness but also asked Kashamu to withdraw all the lawsuits he filed against him to show he is serious in his bid to seek for forgiveness, which Kashamu promised to do.
